you dont even need Financial Accounting for Haas

@talebi818 is right. Haha. Seems weird Haas wouldn’t have an accounting course as a prerequisite as almost every school I know requires a semester of Financial and/or Managerial.

@wwlink I know, I’m sorry for stressing out. It’s just that I’m taking a big risk at community college and I’m really afraid. My downfall in high school was not caring too much about all of my B’s and that effectively ruined my GPA and shot at higher-tierd universities.

Haha I wish I could drop the class but it’s like a week after the drop date for a W. Just had a midterm and I thought everything was really good until the very last section… I think I completely bombed that part, hence my worrying right now.

@Billionaire Thanks. I know, Financial Accounting SHOULD be pretty easy, ugh I guess I’m just not very good at self-motivating myself because it’s an online class. I procrastinate too much. Do you have suggestions for some stand-out extracurriculars? I will PM you about my specific activities since this is a public forum.

Remember this, every UC aside from Merced (which hasn’t formally been ranked yet) is a Tier 1 university.

I know, Haas and Stanford MBAs are probably the only MBAs on the west coast that will be recognized with ease on the east coast. Gotta say, both aren’t exactly well known for being much of an undergrad school anyway.

UCB is picky about their students because UCB is kinda rough - you have classes with hundreds of students (sometimes that number approaches 1000), professors that are busy keeping up the status quo, and your fellow students are overachievers that are very competitive.

Thus someone that gets through UCB has to have a pretty good track record, because they’ve just survived an academic beating. Although I’m sure many here would love to believe otherwise, graduating from UCB does not mean you’re a genius and/or will become the CEO of some Fortune 100 company.

I kinda like that you started with the clean slate and the “I need to avoid Bs like the plague! They’ll destroy me!” attitude - if you start off with that attitude it… can either help you, or stress you out so much it does the opposite and destroys you. I know that when I have a ton of homework to do for the week, if I look at everything I have to do, I’ll get a bit of an anxiety attack and won’t be able to do my homework at all.

In other words: Don’t despair.

You are early enough in this that you can go ahead and take a W if you really want a perfect GPA, but you’ll be wasting a lot of time doing that too.

I know I’ve used a lot of words to not say much, but there’s one more thing I have on my mind:

When you’re talking to friends or other people, you might hear that a class you’re having trouble in is easy. Don’t worry! It happens. There’s LOTS of reasons why a class can be easy or hard - sometimes the subject isn’t one that you get along with, and sometimes (often) you end up with a crappy professor that can’t teach an ant what to eat.

I got into haas with 3 B’s. Overall cumulative was like a 3.8ish…so i wouldnt stress that much. EC’s are crucial. Also, keep in mind quality over quantity when it comes to EC’s and the application-honor societies are the best kept secret for a haas transfer. They are looking for kids who are passionate and have a certain amount of follow through. Jobs are also key, try to work somewhere part time that will allow you to learn how a business works.
Best of luck.
