Do you know if you have to be 16 or 18 to work at Barnes and Noble? I'm 15 and looking for a non fast food job right now.

Where I am (in CO), it's 18.

Email them about it; I can't find it on the site.

if you want a non-fast food job, work at hollister, american eagle, pacsun, anchor blue, any retail store basically,

or at a learning center -- i work at kumon (=
and it's a pretty easy job -- i grade papers the whole time and help kids with simple arithmetic,

other than the occasional annoyances, there's nothing bad about it.

At my B&N, you only had to be 17, so I guess it depends on the store..

You have to be 16 here. :)

in the application it says for some states its 16+, but others you can have a work permit if you are under 16..i'm planning to apply for b&n too..& only 15..so it better be right..

I wonder if you can sign up under 1099 independent contractor agreement with B&N. I work like that 30+ hours a week and I'm 16. But then again, it's soft development.
That's a really great workaround of the minor work law. But I didn't tell ya.

around here its 18
