I don't know much about it except that it's supposed to be mainly for business. I was there doing a summer program a couple years ago and it has a pretty campus! Other than that, I can't help too much.

It's just good, not great。It's also a tiny college and not a huge research university - Plenty of people in Massachusetts haven't heard about it either

I live in the area. If you are interested purely in business, and don't mind a smaller campus, then it is a good choice. It has a very good name and reputation in the Boston area. It is located in Wellesley, about 15 miles from Boston. Wellesley is a very upscale community, and Babson is more upper class and conservative.

I also live in area. Babson borders on Olin College of Engineering. I believe one can also take advantage of what it has to offer if you are enrolled at Babson. You can search their respective websites for further info.

to say babson is not well known internationally because u asked a couple people in your country is very ignorant. Ask people in the business world and they will know it. I am going to babson next year and people who ask me where i am going generally have no clue what it is. those with any business background though will immediately know it and tell you its a great school

Both my parents went to Babson, and enjoyed it. It is a great program if you are certain that you want to go into business. Olin College is bascially on its campus (students can do activities at both I think). It has been profiled in US News many times as a great school.

How well regarded is it outside the Boston area? Because to be honest, the only way I've ever heard of it (not being from Boston) was through the Preppy Handbook, years ago.

I go to Babson. A few years ago, outside of the Boston area, it would be hard for people to recognize Babson nationally. However, the new administration at Babson is working hard to get it nationally recognized. We do receive many prestigious rankings, like #1 school for entrepreneurship in the world, and last October we were featured in Kaplan's 25 hottest schools for being the "Hottest Business School" (which then enticed free T-Shirts for everyone at the school that said "this is why we're hot" haha). It is also internationally recognized for its entrepreneurship program and its faculty.

I sound like a walking advertisement for Babson but honestly, I love it there. I'm going into my senior year and couldn't be happier. Def. check it out!

I haven't heard very good things about Babson. The campus is supposed to be nice though. Only consider this school if you are 100% sure you want to go into business.
