What is the image of Babson College?

Hi guys,

I am just wondering. What is the image of your eyes of doing an master at a college? In my opinion college is just undergraduate in the US. And would international employers know about Babson?

Thank you.

Tim

Someone? :-)

Most US employers have never heard of Babson and it is not thought of as a top school by those who have.

I never heard of it until I came on CC… and I don’t think it’s prestigious or noteworthy, but I haven’t heard of anything that would tarnish the school’s reputation.

I don’t think even US (and certainly international) employers know about such an obscure school. Well, unless your employer is one of its alumni :)

It’s certainly no more obscure than Reed :)

Hmm, that really surprises me. I though Babson was one of the best for entrepreneurship available in the US… :-)

The issue is that few US colleges have an entrepreuneurship major, at no top colleges, to my knowledge, do. So being ranked top there is like saying Alaska is tops for polar icecaps.

Lots of misinformation here. Babson is ranked the #17 undergraduate business school by Business Week and #25 by US News & World Report (also #1 for entrepreneurship studies). It is very international, near Boston, pretty campus. It is not a “top” college or well known internationally except in Latin America, but students are happy there and get a quality education. Financial aid isn’t great. For an MBA, I might choose a bigger school with more choices for classes.
