What’s the social life for Babson students? for athletes? How hard is it to get used to the coarse load?

I’m not sure overall, but the coach I talked to said that practices (for tennis at least), are all scheduled around the classes, so you won’t have to worry about skipping classes to practice. He said that even with matches and stuff athletes would probably be missing only a few days at most.

I’m an athlete at Babson…as a student or as an athlete there is a lot of room for a social life. We have an on campus pub that is always a lot of fun. Additionally we have many different events (i.e. concerts, comedians, talent shows, etc.). I have found the athletes to be an incredibly tight-knit community and I have loved my time at Babson.
With respect to academics, there is time for both. There is a good amount of homework and Babson does have a rigorous curriculum but there are many resources. There is a writing center, speech center, math center, and other tutoring opportunities. For athletes, courses are scheduled according to practice and game schedules. The coaches will let you know what times work for you and then you can go to academic services to pick your classes.

What about the night life? do the people have fun?

Also how much work does an average freshman have per night?

there is not a single attractive girl on sight

Is this true?^^

Roger’s Pub- on campus, open Monday-Friday (with some exceptions on the weekends, i.e. Superbowl Sunday, etc.) All classes can get in, regardless of age- you get a bracelet if you are 21+, pool tables, music, bar, food. Wednesdays and Thursdays are probably the biggest nights there but last Friday there was a Glow Party- normally more of a low-key night with trivia and live bands but it varies…
Knight Party- about once a month, Saturday night- themed dance party 10PM-2AM, beer garden, this Saturday it was Candyland themed in the past it has been jersey night, halloween, seven deadly sins, etc.
Sports- a lot of people pre-game for different sporting events on campus, hockey games are Fridays and Saturdays and draw a good crowd…when the weather is nice in the fall/spring people tailgate and bbq for the baseball/soccer/field hockey games
Boston- there is a shuttle into Boston on the weekends: Thursday-Saturday…this drops off at shopping areas, bars, t-stations, etc.
There are concerts, hypnotists, contests, and really all sorts of school sponsored events in addition to a variety of parties thrown by frats or teams. I mean there are definitely lots of things to do here and in the area- hope that helps!

Oreos comment isn’t true at all.
