After high school I took and received an A in a single credit elective at the community college near my house. Lacking focus or motivation to go to school I did not register the following semester. A year and a half later I enrolled in 3 courses at a community college near my new apartment. To avoid the hassle I did not bother to transfer my credit from the college I had attended previously. Due to financial hardships I stopped attending and moved a month into the semester. In my youth and Ignorance I did not officially drop any classes. The following year, back on my feet, I decided to give college another go and enrolled in 9 hours at again a different community college, this time only 2 weeks into the semester I decided that college just wasn't for me and quit attending. 2 years later after joining the navy, attending boot camp and moving out of state I again enrolled at a community college near my new home. This time I made my way through the entire semester. Well mostly after a pretty bad break up I stopped attending a music appreciation class to avoid my ex so I assume I failed that class. I made one A one C and one D in my other classes. The following year I was deployed to Iraq and was unable to attend school. upon my return I met my wife which again lead to another out of state move. Married and far more responsible having come back from Iraq I resolved to enroll and complete school. I finished my first semester with a 4.0 and am confident I can maintain a solid GPA if I stay focused. Here is my dilemma; I did not transfer any of my other transcripts to the school I am currently attending. I have been thinking a great deal about where/what I will study for graduate school. I am strongly leaning towards Law school obviously I would like to attend the best possible school I can however I realize that top schools may not like my academic history. considering the close relation with justice truth ethics and law I would not be able to live with myself if I simply did not submit my old transcripts. How would I go about transferring my old transcripts to my current school? how upset will my current school be knowing I did not disclose my previous enrollment prior to admission? The school I currently attend has a fairly open enrollment for first time students however in doing some reading only minuets before writing this post they require a 2.0 for transfer students. Any suggestions?
