Ok so I am going to community college and it asks me if I was on probation at any time at a college and to have an explanation. This is needed to get accepted to a program that I want to be in. I didn’t have a medical problem or family/death issue tho. It was that I failed a class in my major that I hated, was unmotivated to study, hated being in the major, etc so do I just say that?? Keep in mind it was probably that it wasn’t the major for me at all bc I got a D in the class after retaking it They say they will deny me if I say I wasn’t on probation it but if I say the truth they can’t deny me right? It’s not like they’re going to say that’s not a VALID reason or something? I mean A LOT of students must go through that it was my first semester btw. Did I f*** up my life forever?
Did failing one class really put you on probation?
I mean I got C’s in every one of my other classes in the major so that brought my GPA down to a 1.9 . I got one B and one A
If you were on academic probation, be honest, don’t make excuses. If asked, present your plan for doing better in the future. That’s all you can do.
Just to make sure, this is a valid reason right? I’m not gonna say that I wasn’t on probation but I’m worried that they’re gonna say I was making it up or something. my lack of motivation might put me on probation this semester too but im not lying. four year college just isnt for me
We can’t tell you whether or not it’s valid. Tell the truth and see what happens. Lying about it WILL come back to bite you.
