Bad Ap souring an app?

I have a great GPA, extracurriculars and all that jazz, but...

AP World: 5
AP Language: 4
AP US: 5
AP Music Theory: 2 (3 on dictation, 1 on aural perception)

would that 2 make a major difference, even with a great grade in the course and no other major problems?

Colleges don't even factor AP scores in really, I don't think. Sure, some ask for them, and I guess if you got straight 5s it would help, but one 2 is not gonna screw up anything.

I am pretty sure that when you apply to college, you only self report AP scores; I think you send the official score report after you are accepted.

Therefore, you don't have to put Music Theory on your application.

my counselor said they are on your transcript. you CAN, for a fee, withold a grade. I believe colleges see that you have witheld it, though, and obviously would assume that it was a poor score...

so, would they think poorly of you if you witheld a grade, as opposed to just sending it?

as far as I've been told, that is the case. my counselor is notorious for giving bad info, though, so better to double check

The first thing to check is if, at your hs, AP scores are or are not included on the transcript. If they are not, simply do not list the score on your applications. Not everyone that takes AP's takes the test.
