I got extremely sick (i'm talking a few weeks off) ... will colleges understand this if I explain to them that I was sick and not skipping? Unfortunately I had a lot of tardies, but the tardies had nothing to do with my being sick...so no real excuse for that but it was a new school for me so I guess I can say I was adjusting? I don't know lol. My attendance has been perfect after that though, and my grades have improved after that term.

How sick are you to have to a few weeks off? Do you have mono or something?

hmmmmmmmmm

yeah it was mono so I was out for like 2 weeks which is pretty good some people take off a month!

If you catch up on all your school work, I doubt it would be a problem. Just don't miss anymore school. :)

attendance doesn't show up on your transcript

umm..cornerstone...thats ur school. not necesarilly his.

I honestly had no idea attendance showed up on your transcript. And would a college really care? They have no idea whether you were skipping...for all they know, you could have been on chemotherapy.

Just keep up your grades and I doubt they'll take a second look

WindSlicer is right, and you do won't become a chronic truant (more than 60 unexcused/year).
Attendance shows up on our report cards but not the official transcript unless a disciplinary problem was earned.

I honestly had no idea attendance showed up on your transcript

it doesn't.

yeah my parents asked my counselor if attendance would show up and they said yeah including tardies/absences

gdf... it's my school, his school, and your school

r u absolutely sure? it would make my day if u were haha

ivyhopeful22 and cornerstones are school-mates? Interesting.

no, we're not schoolmates maybe he was saying that the same rules of it not being on your transcript apply in every school?
