Okay, I've missed about 20% of my total school days for reasons I will not delve into right now.

I didn't think they put attendance on our transcripts until I saw mine.

Obviously, I don't want my colleges to see my poor attendance. Would that hurt admissions decisions?

So, I should have my attendance taken off my transcript, right? Is there anything wrong with that? I don't think my attendance should affect my admissions. I have an anxiety disorder and missed a lot because of that and other stuff.

I know my counselor could write me a letter, but why go through all of that when attendance can (hopefully) be taken off my transcript?

Advice appreciated!

Just have your counselor write the letter. It's not that big a deal. It would probably take more effort to take the attendace off of the transcript (which, at my school at least, is pre-formatted) and it would look strange for something integral like that to be missing.

Is it really integral though? Do ALL schools put attendance on the transcript? I would just think that if a college didn't see it, then they would be like, 'meh..." and move on. They wouldn't like call the school just to get attendance??

I agree that it shouldn't be on a transcript, but people get kicked out of my school for not having good attendance. Just show up a little more.

Attendance is NOT on my transcript...I just checked.

I would see if it can be taken off, obviously you're going to have competition from students whose transcripts don't have attendance on their transcripts, so why should you?

Joli, I thought it wasn't on my transcript too because it wasn't on my unofficial one, but it was on my official one!
