my whole life I’ve been very smart and I did very good in school all the way up until my freshman year in high school. My freshman year, I did very poorly because I wasn’t motivated, and I tried to do online school. It turned out terrible. My sophomore year I did OK but I got a few D’s and C’s here and there. Now going into my junior year, I am taking AP biology, AP US history, AP language and composition, precalculus honors, Spanish too, and I have to make up algebra one from freshman year. What are my chances of getting into a decent school if I do greet my junior and senior year? My senior year will be a rigorous year as well to make up for my freshman and sophomore years. I want to get into a good college maybe in Florida, North Carolina, California, or New York. I want to go into biology to become a doctor. Thanks for your help.

Schools like USF, FSU, UNC, ECU, UC ( any of the schools), or NYU
Home state? How much can your family afford? Test scores? EC’s? No chances until the end of your Junior year with all this information. Also need unweighted GPA after 11 th grade and Calculated UC GPA if considering UC’s.

Moved to FL freshman year, income: around 115k a year, lots and lots of extra curriculars, over 150 volunteer hours, in student council and many other clubs
Thanks for your information
So what is your UC GPA? Since you are OOS for the California UC’s, expect to pay $55K/year with little to no financial aid as an OOS student. Also, the UC’s require a minimum 3.5 UC GPA to apply. Florida has some great schools, so I would consider those schools first before looking OOS unless your family afford the costs.
Your courseload for junior year seems rigorous and very impressive.
However, although freshman year/sophomore year is not as highly regarded to most colleges as junior and senior year, it is still important they your freshman grades/sophomore grades are up to par (As in strong As and Bs). Although you seem very motivated and ambitious, from your descriptions of your 9th and 10th grade reports, things don’t seem to be all rainbows and sunshine for you.
Cs, Ds, and failing a class puts you in a position in which you are facing a lower GPA compared to other applicants who may also be vying for positions at decent schools in NY, CA, NC, etc.
I highly recommend striving for a perfect/near-perfect GPA during your junior, working on your ECs, crafting a killer personal statement, and churning out test scores in the top few percentile. (I recommend 2000+ if you are looking at Top 40/50 schools, if that is what you consider decent).
Agreed with @Gumbymom … it is very difficult to chance someone without a lot of the information listed above.
Best of luck!
