So I am an incoming junior in high school and I’ve been looking into colleges. Boston U is my top choice but I’m kinda worried I won’t get in because of my 3 Cs on my transcript. I have a good reason for one that I got last year but for the other two I got in freshman year I have no reason. I still have a good A- average though and I’ve been getting straight As ever since but would the Cs stop me from getting in?

Not sure how anyone here will be able to assist but I’d first ask what other schools you are looking at and why you are sold on BU? Of course there are many questions and considerations to take into account before answering this but I’d recommend looking other places and if after looking you remain interested in BU to start attending their admission events, campus visits, and get express your interest with the admissions department. BU was not my first choice and I’ve had an okay to bad experience here. I’d keep looking especially since you’re fairly early in the process and focus on stepping up your academics and studying for the SAT and APs.

Well I like BU Because of their Acting Major but I have a lot of other options! I think it’s better to start looking now than to be a senior and stressed out because I don’t know what school I want to apply to.

True but I’d encourage you to take a trip up here and talk to people and say what they have to say. I’m not well versed on BU’s acting program but I’d assume you’d be better served coming out closer to the action (ie LA or NYC). Boston does have a quaint theater district and has hosted several films but there probably won’t be much here in the way of internships and gaining experience relevant to your field.

Ya I live in NYC so I have plenty of schools from here but I kinda want to get away.
