So yea. my girlfriend had this college as one of her picks. So I’m trying to get accepted here. FYI shes is waaaaaaaaaay smarter than I am. lol

I currently have a SAT score of 1730. Not looking good so far but I plan on retaking. 550 on critical reading and 550 on verbal

For extra curricular activities I have been head of the media committee in church and vacation bible school. JSA member, stock club member, promotions of literary magazine. assisstant director in the school year movie. Also a member of westborough high school film club

In school I’m taking a bunch of science and math classes to raise my GPA [ ap bio, ap stats, honors physics, honors calc] and not one of them have anything to do with Film or television. My GPA using the collegeboard scale, is a 3.3.

As I just said I’m taking a bunch of hard classes and this is a big jump for me. and right now I’m failing AP stats and physics.

I’m trying to major in film production btw. Also i hear BU has very few students in their film program so Im guessing thats a good thing for me?

NYU, Syracuse, American University, are the only other options. and my gf is applying to brown, NYU, BU, BC, Colombia, Welsley. OMG I dont want to lose her! I dont mind as long as we’re in the same city.

Sibyl vane told me to make my post a thread so. lol i used his/her advice

btw i know that for the other schools sat II's are not required but instead one of your works must be submitted. is taht true for BU to? I couldn't find it on their site.

BU is a reach for u.. but try improving ur SATs and u might have a shot at CGS..
and also there are so many schools in the surrounding boston area..so theres so many schools u can apply too (BU, Bentley, Babson, Emerson, Suffolk, Northeastern, UMass..etc.)

im a freshman at BU right now and love it..but i have so many friends in schools around here too..so dont look at BU as your only option..

honestly i think picking a school around your gf isnt the best way to go..but if u want to be in the same area i understand

i dont kno what schools in boston are big on film..but with so many choices im sure u can find some to be matches and safeties..

Emerson College is totally focused on communications. You might have a chance there. It's a great location. One of the biggest dorms is right across from the T stop on Boylston Street.
