So I took my final exam last week and..........the results weren't favorable at all.
I'm currently a sophomore and for my final exams, I got a B for every subject. I thought I did well on at least two of those tests, but they turned out the opposite. I'm so scared right now; the colleges I want to apply to in my senior year are mostly top-tier & Ivy League schools, but looking at my grades, I don't think I even have a chance for all of them.
To be honest, I don't know what I need to do with my life. My grades are starting to drop and I've been getting really lazy these days. How can I solve this? Would straight B's in sophomore year of high school affect my chance of getting into top colleges? Help!

It hurts your chances, but there’s so many more factors. Is your course load extremely hard? Do you have great extra-curriculars? Did you build an orphanage in Africa and/or find a cure for cancer?

In all seriousness, I’m in the same boat. Got 2 Cs this semester. Just try your best next time, it’s all you can really do. Then ace your SAT/ACT and pray. You should probably try to stop idolizing ivy league schools though. If you’re truly committed you’ll be successful whether you have an ivy degree or not.
