Hi, I was wondering if there were any people in here that got into a UC(not including UCR) with bad grades…like a D or an F. I have not met one person who has not gotten into UCD at my school…NOT ONE! HAHA I know this one girl got in…with an F in AP Bio her jr. yr and she got a 960 on her sat’s??? I also know this guy who got a D in chem his soph. yr and got a 1020 and still got into UCD…and none of their GPA’s were over a 3.6. So i was just wondering is this only happening at my school or is it going on elsewhere? Any info would be appreciated…thanx
<p>well there are some semi-interesting uci acceptances:</p>
<p><a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com...?t=37326&page=4%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com...?t=37326&page=4</a>
cake: 3.2 1490 accepted into uci
rainbowcoffin: 3.8 970 450 490 540 accepted
createpeacenlove: 3.8 1040 accepted
rpvsurfer: 3.3 1180 accepted</p>
<p>what kind of high school do you go to... is it disadvantaged or anything?</p>
<p>I dont know if i would call it "disadvantage" but our API(Academic Performance Index..I think haha) is really low.</p>
<p>I know a person who got an F in AP Bio and got into UCSD. The "F" didn't affect her GPA for whatever reason.</p>
<p>btw, to be top 4% of my school, a 3.6 is all you need, so... yeah. haha. so, 3.5+ is pretty good from where i come from.</p>
<p>A girl at my school got into UCSB (from Massachusetts, no less) with two Fs and an incomplete on her transcript (she never received credit for the class because she skipped too much). I still have no idea how she pulled that one off.</p>
<p>I hope the admission process is the same at my school next yr.</p>
<p>3.4 (w/o senior yr)
1500</p>
<p>into uci, usc, and illinois UC</p>
<p>haha those stats aren't that bad though haha</p>
<p>you should've seen my junior year grades. >_></p>
<p>well if you're ELC you have a really good chance of getting into UCI.. i think their acceptance rate for ELC students is like 99%, no joke</p>
<p>I probably wont be ELC there are still some smart ppl at my school. Especially in the class of 06'</p>
