As a senior, in my first semester, I got 4 Bs in AP courses and As in AP Calculus and three non-weighed courses. How bad is this? Will I still have a shot in Brown with excellent stats and bad mid-year report? How much does a bad mid-year report bring down my chance? Is it significant? Or it is no big deal?

I am in the same boat... and was wondering the same thing

I have 2 As in two AP courses and I have 3-4 Bs in the rest of my courses (all AP and weighted classes)

this is an old thread but i would like to know if anyone has to say anything on this? i have a very heavy course load but i thiink i’m going to end up with one B in the best case scenario, and 3 Bs in the worst case (7 classes total)

I’m hardly an expert, but I feel like it really all depends on the school you go to. I get mostly Bs in APs, but I’m still considered competitive for schools like Brown, since my school is extremely tough and the highest GPA is around an A-/low A.
