Would admission officers understand if I explain that my subject tests should be substituted with my college gpa? My subject tests scores were horrible however my reasoning test is okay.

Would you guys advice that I retake the subject tests?

SAT IIs are secondary in consideration for Transfers (especially Sophomores) and should not be retaken unless you are willing to invest significant effort into them.

Thanks. The only problem is that my subject tests scores would be included when I request CB to sent my SAT reasoning scores, which I just retook in October. I just wish there was a way to exclude subject tests, I'd even be willing to pay extra to do it:(.

Honestly, don't sweat it - it's water under le bridge and such a minor consideration for adcoms. Just focus on your GPA and getting good recommendations.

You can write a short paragraph in the "additional info" sections (optional) on some apps, stating that you hope the adcoms will recognize that the subject tests do not reflect your potential, but that your actual college performance does.

My S did that, was accepted to all his transfer schools save 1. Some were highly selective. The "No" came from a HYPS. You might want to include some test-optional schools on your list, if it's not already finalized.

BTW, be sure the subject test scores are actually horrible - as opposed to some kids who come on cc lamenting their 710-740 scores :o.

This is because I took them in the 11th grade when I hadn't even taken AP Lit or a math class relating to the Math test. Additionally, I barely even studied for the tests.

Yes, you are not the first to take the SAT IIs without a real understanding of good strategy (eg, my S took the Chem SAT II more than a year after finishing his Chem class). It's a bummer for sure. If you decide to write an explanatory paragraph, just make it short, upbeat, not whine-y.

Are you considering any SAT optional schools?

No. I don't know of any good business schools on the East coast that are SAT optional. As of right now, I'm only applying to Penn, Cornell, Georgetown, NYU. I retook the reasoning test in Oct and I'm sure it's pretty good.
