They’re separate areas of small houses. Baits I is farther away from Bursley/food whereas Baits 2 is right next to Bursley.

Yeah, they aren’t all that bad. Baits is not considered one of the premier dorms on campus, but on the plus side, you do get your own bathroom. Which could be good or bad, considering you’re going to have to clean it.

I lived in Bursley my freshman year as an LSA student, and I loved every minute of it.

Here’s a decent guide to North Campus - [Guide to Surviving North Campus - Ann Arbor, MI](http://www.townme.com/ann-arbor-mi/Guide-to-surviving-on-north-campus)

Yea Baits isn’t that bad. I was personally at Bursley but I had a lot of friends at Baits.

In terms of socializing, its not really that much of a hindrance. Sure you have to take the bus to get to central, but on a plus, I have some of my funniest moments at Umich on the bus ride back (especially the last bus of the night). One good advice is to use magic bus…as much as possible. It really is a lifesaver, especially when your on central on a cold winter night and don’t want to freeze waiting at the bus stop.

Overall all you guys shouldn’t worry too much. I freaked out before I had my freshman year too, but really living on North isn’t even close to as bad as most people imagine.

I have Bates 2 also …

Double non-smoking

■■■ DID NOT WANT BAITS

I don’t think Baits will be as bad this year. People have complained about it in the past because it wasn’t social enough. This year they’re making it all freshmen (Markley is the other all freshman dorm), so it shouldn’t be that bad, minus the bus ride.

No … I’m more concerned b/c it seems like it’s so old. It would have been nice to have MoJo or Stockwell (well it opens), but oh well…

Coolbreeze I did apply late because I received my decision in late April.

Mo-Jo is nice but its mostly for MRC and WISE students, and whatever room is left, upperclassmen fill it up. Stockwell is only for sophomores. Baits looks old, but in comparison to other dorms on campus, its not bad at all.

How does access to Bursley, for the dining hall and for laundry facilities, work for Baits residents?

Does their dorm room “key” work at the Bursley doors? Or are there hours Baits residents have access and hours when they don’t?

A year late. Didn’t notice the date. -.-

let’s keep this thread going for everyone stuck in baits this year…it’s not gonna be that bad

We should fb each other, for everyone in baits. PM me for my info if you’re interested!

we should do a fb group!

Yeah, that’d be nice.

Does anyone have a floor plan image and/or photos of what the inside of these dorms look like? I can’t find this information on U of M’s housing website. We will be attending orientation in July and could go look at the rooms in Baits then but it would be nice to have a general idea of what the room looks like. Thank you!

I AM LOOKING TO SWITCH INTO A BAITS II SINGLE.

I AM CURRENTLY LIVING IN A STOCKWELL SINGLE.

PM me if interested.
Thanks ya’ll.

P.S. You have to be a female in order to swap with me. And a NON-FRESHMAN.

I’m interested in a Baits (either of them) fb page as well. It’d definitely make life easier and hopefully help me pick a roommate. Anyone want to make one for anyone that will be living there this year? Link to one if it has already been made?
