Bama Bound Orientation question

Does anyone know if it matters what date you pick for bama bound orientation? Does it make a difference in the dates I go if i’m trying to get a certain course, or will they spread all the courses throughout the sessions. For example, I want to get my first choice and want to know if going on june 9-10 rather than june 21-22 will effect my choices of the courses I choose.

Because of schedule conflicts with AP exams, proms, academic tournaments, finals and graduation, my son could not attend Bama Bound until late June last year. He still got into the classes he sought. In many cases, a student can get an override to get into a closed class. My son did this with an honors calculus class.

But remember, even if you do not get a particular class in June, the schedule of classes will be open to everyone in early August. At that time, you can jump online from home and redo your schedule. My son did that, picking up a 200-level political science class that he had not previously seen.

If the courses you want are full by the time you get to Bama Bound, then just keep checking the registration website every couple days after Bama Bound to see if spaces open up. Who knows, you may decide to take totally different classes from what you had originally planned.

My son went to the second from last Bama Bound and got all the classes he needed as well.

Bama releases some seat for each freshmen section for each Bama Bound so that each section has seats available.

However, every student should come to Bama Bound with a written schedule with various options…
