<p>If you’re in a computer-related major (CS or ECE, there may be others), you can get some Microsoft software for free, including Windows and possibly Office.</p>
<p>There’s an IT service desk in Gordon Palmer hall - I have no idea if they charge or how much.</p>
<p>A lot of local businesses offer student discounts.
UA offers discounts on Dell and Apple products and offers free antivirus software to students.</p>
<p>OIT will generally help with computer problems for free, though for warranty repairs and such you’ll have to go elsewhere.</p>
<p>Computer-related majors get a variety of Microsoft software for free. Other students get a sizable discount on Microsoft products.</p>
<p>Athletic events, football and playoff games excluded, are free for students.</p>
<p>All UA students receive lifetime career center services for free.</p>
