Everyone should have at least one album of each of those artists. Kneebody is a small, jazz/hip-hop fusion band that is damn near incredible. Pick up a copy of their CD or go to their website (its the name of the band) and check out their samples.

California, do you mean the band Stars that released the CD 'Heart?' (There are too many bands with the word 'Star' in them, heh.) If so, awesomeness times 10000.

Recently, I've been hooked on Broken Social Scene, Metric, Ima Robot, Rufus Wainwright (mmm =p), The New Pornographers, Wheat, Pulp, and the ever-crazy Elton John. I use my iPod music primarly for my trampoline, so be warned, it's all pretty upbeat (sans Broken Social Scene) Or, if you're into sad, sad guilty pleasures, you can always rely on Shakira! Hahahah.

Guns N' Roses
Metallica (pre-St.Anger)
Iron Maiden
Aerosmith
Buckethead
Slash's Snakepit
Izzy Stradlin & the Ju Ju Hounds
Skid Row
Children of Bodom
Dream Theater
Van Halen
The Eagles
Rolling Stones

Conclusion? Basically 80's and 90's music. It is safe to say that 99% of the music out there today are...well......****.

Yes NIN is good and Hendrix, obviously, is good too.

elefant, autolux, radiohead, the walkmen, le trigre, robbers on high street, tegan and sara, ok go, sonic youth, and well they are very addictive kaiser chiefs

I'm sure some of these have been said but whatever.

Killers, Nine Inch Nails, Queen, The Beatles, System of a Down, Bright Eyes, N.E.R.D., The Bravery, Air, Metallica, The Verve, My Chemical Romance, The Roots...
