I am from the Houston, TX area… Anyone else from Houston, TX get an interview yet?

I’m from the NJ market, I’ve been trying to find out how competitive my market is, does anyone know? Did anyone in NJ hear anything yet?

I’m from the nj market as well, havent heard anything but I would assume pretty competitive…

Has anyone recieved a call for an interview for the Austin bracket?? I wonder how competitive ours is…

Florida. Do you know what questions they will ask? Anyone from previous times?

i was just looking through last years threads of BOA and apparently NJ is the last market to find out. I don’t think they call us, they just mail us acceptance/rejection letters in May. ahh i hope they make decisions earlier this year! But, i think the nj market is really competitive, considering the fact that its a whole state as opposed to a town/county.

Has anyone in Virginia heard any word yet?

How do we do what market we’re in?
I essentially live right in between two different markets…

I wold think we do get interviews in NJ especially if its so competitive they need to filter it out somehow…i could be mistaken

Has anyone from the Philadelphia Market been called for an interview, or accepted into a program yet.?

last year nobody in new jersey had an interview, they just sent out letters (I did it last year)

@ jodyxo12, ohh so did you get accepted? And do you know how competitive nj was last year? I’ve been looking at other threads and the fb page, but i rarely see anything mentioned about nj. But, then when I see a post, it says over 100 kids applied from jersey :o lol im just curious.

Anyone from LA get a phone call/anything yet?

hi guys, I’m from the east bay market. I havent recieved a call yet. Anyone else from my market recieve a call?

Hey guys, I’m from the Kansas City market. Has anyone or does anyone know from past experience when people were notified? I’m quite nervous since I faxed in my letter and I never got a confirmation email…

Got an email for an interview with the Detroit market!!

Just finished my interview today. It was held in what seemed like some kind of small corporate office of Bank of America. It was a very casual interview. They said they’d select 5 from each market. I looked at a sign in sheet of people who were getting interviewed and there were about 5-6 people scheduled to be interviewed today alone.

I saw that the program is only for juniors, but it looks very interesting, and I’ll definitely apply next year. I’m from South Carolina, do I assume there won’t be TOO much competition in my area.

What exactly does it entail?
It’s an 8-week summer paid internship at Bank of America, in your area?
What are the chances of being accepted?

What was the interview like? What questions did they ask? what state are you from?

There were two representatives. One was from BoA (Sacramento Market Manager) and one was from the nonprofit that those who won that Sacramento market would work with (forgot).

They tried to make it very casual. They asked me about 4 questions regarding what i wanted to get out of this scholarship and things of that nature. They wrote down notes according to my answer The rest of the time was devoted to me asking them questions. They said that the interview would last about 30 minutes but mine lasted about 15.

They also informed me that the trip to D.C would be at the end of the 8 week internship.

Dartmouth, it is open to seniors as well. They told me that there’s about 5 representatives from each market, so SC may still be pretty competetive.
It’s an 8 week paid internship with 1 of those weeks being an all expenses paid trip to D.C.
According to my BoA rep, the internship would begin around July. I’d be paid $10/hr for 35 hrs a week 5 days a week.
