Bank of America Student Leaders 2014

cardyboy, There’s no point for you to apply if you only want to put it on your college applications.

WTylerL, When you create an account to apply, there’s a list of markets on the first page.

jakla17, Any extra curricular activity cannot be considered a volunteer activity. The activities you list have to benefit some cause. Tutoring, environmental clubs, or community service clubs can be listed.

evelync, My guidance counselor is the same way. I hate how most applications request the GC to recommend you, but definitely go with anyone who knows you the best!

Is this program binding?

Hawkace, No, but they do list being available for the dates of the internship in eligibility. They’d prefer you not apply if you have other plans or if you’re likely to decline the offer.

Seattle market here! does anyone know if volunteer activities include school clubs? and also if a paid community service internship works?

I know this sounds selfish, but I will apply to this program and will do it if I can not find any better ones to do (which is very likely).

when you guys submitted your applications, does the website let you go back and look at them? I submitted mine and that’s the case for me…

Just submitted my app! Just wondering is anyone else’s application saying amount - $0.00??

I am for the Washington DC market! GL guys!

@mirmir123 they pay more attention to community service from what I read in previous threads

Finishing up my application today, Phoenix Market. Does anyone know if you get assigned your Non-Profit or if you’re given a list to choose from?

@anisa2015 I haven’t submitted my app yet, but it has always said $0.00.
@the89thguy I’m not sure, but I doubt there’s a list. There may be one or two places.
The five students chosen all work at one place in my district.

I’m submitting my app tonight! So excited!

Have any of you uploaded your recommendations? If I do upload them, am I just supposed to scan them and then upload? Also, do any of you know if the deadline is by Friday meaning Friday at 11:59 pm or does it mean Thursday at 12:00 am? I’m afraid I won’t be able to submit my application until Friday night -.- But if anyone could answer my questions that’d be great! Thanks! I’m from the Illinois market btw.

@engineering2015 You could scan them and then upload them. Two of my recommenders typed their letters on a word document, signed them electronically, emailed them to me, and I uploaded them, and I scanned the other letter.

The application says “no later than January 31st”, so I’m sure they mean no later than 11:59 PM.
Good luck!

@detpeace thank you so much! Do any of you know when decisions will be made? This is my number 1 choice summer program

@engineering2015 Same here! Last year, results came out at different times for different markets, but they varied from the end of March through April.

hey! just submitted my app from IL! Im really hoping for this program! it sounds INCREDIBLE!!! paid internship at a nonprofit and paid 1 week DC trip omg im drooling over here. plus being a senior, im already starting to feel the college tuition pain kicking in lol. ill check back here in march with results. best of luck to everyone!

How did you guys see your application once you submitted it? and @engineering2015 i was wondering the same thing about the deadline!

Did any of you have your recommender e-mail your letter?!? I already submitted my application, but I haven’t received the confirmation e-mail yet! I am freaking out! I need that request ID number or else I did all this work for nothing. Do you know when the confirmation e-mail usually sends?

.

I just submitted my application! Anyone else apply for NJ?

hey, i said i have 400 hours of volunteer work, but i didnt know if my essays were strong enough. Can some one read over my essays, ill pm them to you. thanks
