yikes rejected too it hurts
guys, I got an email but I’m too scared to open it. Pretty sure it is a rejection but I kind of want to hold unto the faith that it’s not. It doesn’t start with congrats so I’m pretty sure I didn’t get in.
I got in! So sad though because not only is DC cancelled, but the internship might also be cancelled. I’m hoping they’ll atleast do it virtually.
i got rejected too
@Raddersaurus does the email start with a congratulating message?
Nope! Wish you the best in opening and good luck!
I’m so nervous to open it too! I don’t think I got in either, but like I have a sliver of hope…
Stats?

Just want to let you guys know that everything happens for a reason! If you got in, congrats!! If you didn’t I know that you will do amazing things in life and that not getting in one program doesn’t mean that all the work that you have done is invalid! Good luck to you all in the future!!!
I was accepted from the Myrtle Beach market. I received my email a few minutes after my friends who weren’t accepted
I’m in the Myrtle Beach market and was accepted. It starts with “We hope that you and your family are healthy and safe…”
This is what the acceptance message looks like:
We hope that you and your family are healthy and safe. It is with great pleasure that we inform you that you have been selected as a 2020 Bank of America Student Leader®. On behalf of Bank of America, we welcome you to join the ranks of the more than 3,300 students who have participated in this leadership experience since 2004. Congratulations!
In the current environment, we are proactively reviewing all meetings and events, including our Student Leaders program, to ensure we are being supportive of our teammates and the customers, clients and the communities we serve. We are excited to recognize your achievements as a Student Leader this summer and would like to share the following updates:
· While we have made the difficult decision to cancel our in-person 2020 Student Leaders Summit, scheduled for this July in Washington, D.C., we are exploring opportunities to engage you virtually throughout the summer. We are also exploring opportunities to bring you together with other students in your market and/or region.
· At this time, we are evaluating the internship component of the program. We recognize there are factors that may prevent the nonprofit summer internships from taking place. We are working on alternative options for the program should this be the case.
· Regardless of whether we are able to move forward with nonprofit summer internships, you will receive a financial award as part of your Student Leader recognition. We will contact you by April 22to discuss the award and next steps, and we will share more details about your Student Leader recognition as soon as possible.
Your remarkable achievements are an inspiration for us all, especially in a time when we are seeing great needs in our communities, and we applaud you for your passion and commitment.
Regards,
The Bank of America Charitable Foundation
