ACCEPTED!!! :slight_smile: SEE Y’ALL ON CAMPUS NEXT YEAR! and for those of you who didn’t get in, i know it seems easy for me to say this but you are all great and amazing woman who will do great things in your lives–with or without Barnard! CONGRATS TO EVERYONE WHO GOT IN THOUGH!

@oldsoul17 I think that calling admissions or sending a letter could be a good idea! The whole deferral thing is really confusing to me, so I’m probably just going to call in a few days to kind of get a better sense of what it means and what I should be doing. What other schools are you looking at?

Rejected and confused :frowning: Statistically I am on their higher end and I’m also pretty strong in the extracurricular dept as well. I just want to know why :frowning:

Rejected, but it has been such an experience meeting all of you and also learning some things about myself through the application process. Congratulations to everyone who got accepted! And to those who didn’t, I feel your pain, but remember that there are more wonderful doors opening for us down the road, and now is the time to seize the opportunity and get cracking on some more apps. Much love. <3

In the email it specifically says that you’re deferred? How would I know if they put me into RD?

@davinasaltos my email says “the Committee has decided to defer a decision on your application until the spring, at which time we will review your application again and render a final decision”

@am1217 @nycbarnard followed ya on ig!!! :~)

Congrats to those who got in. For those deferred, don’t give up hope- they saw something they like but can’t fill their whole class from ED applicants so they have to wait and see who else applies RD too. I would definitely continue expressing interest through the form of a letter, updating them on awards or accomplishments, etc. My daughter graduates from Barnard in May, but I still remember the day she got in so well because she was so excited.

@Pufafish Same here! Are we allowed to appeal or ask them their reasoning behind the rejection?

@barnardhopeful1 I’m not sure but in the spur of the moment I sent them an email basically asking why (lol). Feeling kinda lost rn, but hopefully we will end up where we belong :slight_smile: <3

@kika1234 March seems so far away :frowning: do you know the stats for people who get deferred ED?

@oldsoul17 ugh I know! It’s so far. I tried for soooo long to figure out the stats but I couldn’t find anything :confused:

Accepted!!

To all those who got accepted, you are amazing.
