good luck all, seriously wishing you the best <3
I was wondering if anyone has some insight on the interview? mine is scheduled to happen in a couple days so I’m just wondering if anyone would be willing to share some things to keep in mind during the interview, or questions that they found the most challenging… anything helps thanks so much
and btw good luck everyone!! excited (and very nervous) for our decisions:))
is your status page showing up as theyre “awaiting your common app and writing supplement?”
is your status page showing up as theyre “awaiting your common app and writing supplement? when you first submitted?
yeah, it says it takes 5-7 business days to process our application materials
i found barnard’s page abt the interview really helpful!! they try and make it more of a conversation with a senior interviewer than a standard interview and that helps lessen the pressure of it all, at least for me. definitely know what questions you wanna ask them beforehand
right okay! i thought that was for the additional materials and not like our actual common app
thank you!!
thank you sm thats reassuring!! is their interview page the one on boldbeautifulbarnard ?
also not sure if you (or anyone else) would know this but are most interviews with alumni/seniors- people who have attended barnard in the past? just because I know some schools have people in the admissions office do the interviews who didnt attend the school itself, and whether or not they attended would very much dictate the questions I have prepared for them if that makes sense?
yeah i used that one ! and my interview was with a senior, i saw a video that said most if not all are seniors?? but i’m not 100% sure
gotcha thank you so much!!
my interview was with a recent barnard graduate who worked in admissions, but i’m sure anyone doing interviews is well versed in all things barnard to answer any questions you have
here!!!
My interview (back in August, dk if that changes things) was with a then-rising senior. She was super nice, and although we didn’t click as much as I did in later interviews, probably bc it was my first one, she answered all of my questions thoroughly, even the ones I thought she might not be able to as a student. She also put me in touch with a professor whose work I was interested in. Overall great!
submitted mine a few days ago!! very nervous but i really liked my essays
Good luck!!!
The more I learn about Barnard, the higher up on my list it is and the more nervous I get about my chances
do i have to request an interview on their main website? i already submitted and theres nothing on the portal for interviews
they’re no longer doing interviews for the 20-21 admissions cycle, it’s on their website
Hey guys! Can you like this comment if you were a deferred applicant? Trying to see If you were deferred, what’s your plan going forward?
how is financial aid @any accepted students
hey! I was deferred. I’m revising my letter of continued interest right now and I’ll be sending that soon. when I reached out my regional admissions counselor, she said that additional letters of rec are truthfully not as important because they really just want to hear from the student at this point - so I don’t think I’ll send another one. what’s your plan?
