Barnard Fall '09 Transfers

I was worried because the website said that they didn’t have my college transcript (which was sent before my commonapp), but I called and they said that it was probably a computer error and that if they were missing anything they would contact me. I wouldn’t worry if the website says it doesn’t have something.

Any news yet?

I got my acceptance letter today!

Submitted application March 9th
Top 35 LAC
3.75 college GPA
3.6 high school GPA
great recs, essays
1220 SAT

Congratulations!!! Any other news from the acceptance letter? Did you get it at school or home? Ahhhhh I’m so nervous!

I got it at school (about 2 hours away from NYC), it’s mainly just about sending in paperwork to reserve a space and letting them know you’re planning to attend and a form to give to an adviser so they can send the final grades, etc.

That’s amazing I am so happy for you. Congratulations again!
Everyone else, best of luck.

congrats!!
man i am so nervous, I hope I get in but have a feeling I wont :/

rm138 congrats! did you send your app in earlier than the April 1 deadline? :-)

LOL MY BAD just read that part where you said March 9. Congrats again! :-)

sickofvanderbilt,

if you don’t mind my asking, why are you sick of Vanderbilt?

haha first one to ask me that question! :-)

well, hmm. a lot of things actually. i mean academically it’s awesome esp if you’re premed (which i’m not, so i have nothing to lose lol jk) but it’s just too sheltered and there is no life outside of the campus. nashville is… i hate nashville. haha! about 50% of the kids are greek, and it overpowers the social scene. the people are mostly segregated (no lie. go to the dining halls, and observe while everyone seats themselves by race). it’s still very backwards and conservative, in my opinion.

i mean it’s a different experience for everyone, but coming from a big city from the philippines, this just didn’t turn out as i expected.
