I feel like I’m the only one who hasn’t heard back haha. I wonder if they’ll send any acceptances anymore.
Just got a status update and I was rejected. Good luck to everyone! It wasn’t meant to be for me I guess!
Rejected here too! It was a good run!
For those waitlisted, I’ve seen in videos they recommend sending a short letter of continued interest + updates to your academic profile that would be helpful! the videos are on youtube you could look up for a more comprehensive guide on what to do
anyone else hear nothing???
Rejected with EFC 0
I didn’t hear anything yet but wishing you the best of luck!
Thank you so much!!
Rejected
Incoming Junior at UC Berkeley
GPA 3.91
Needed a lot of financial aid
Conclusion for future applicants who will be looking at this thread: seriously, don’t apply for FA if you don’t need to, they’re not kidding about being need aware LOL
Rejected 4.0 needed lots of aid
Rejected (Honestly, I’m so sad as it was my first choice)
Applied for FA
HS GPA: 4.0 (W)
ACT: High-30s
Community College GPA: 4.0
Major: Gender Studies
Essays: Good, THese were the best essays that I wrote for the admissions cycle if I’m being honest (but this is so subjective)
ECs: Nationally Ranked at a Competitive Academic Activity, Research, Non-Profit, Misc. Volunteering
Rejected! I only applied to Barnard:(
did y’all apply for financial aid? did anyone who got rejected today not apply for aid?
Nope! I got rejected and I applied for FA. But Barnard was a HUGE reach for me anyway.
rejected most likely for FA
Rejected. Barnard was my dream school. Needed a lot of financial aid. Junior transfer graduated HS a while ago. Near perfect GPA (3.97), president of women’s student assoc. Volunteer at PP. Academic awards, great EC’s and awards, great recs, essays, etc. Applied as a film studies major…
Probably my F.A. but could’ve been my HS stats, too.
I agree. FA did play a huge role. My stats are relatively above Barnard’s median range, College GPA - 4.0. College essay and supplements are primarily focused on my educational goals. 5 LORs: 3 letters from my professors (1 - Barnard alum), 1 from my supervisor/employer, and 1 from my mentor (Columbia University alum). I also have a current internship at the office of a congresswoman and other ECs on campus. But rejected!
Rejected…
I got rejected and my EFC was quite literally 0 but I’m glad the wait is finally over! I wish everyone on this thread good luck to wherever they end up, whether that is Barnard or another school
