@teenybee Barnard emailed me this morning that they received my transfer report and now it shows up as waived on the portal as well
@gabsPL Thank you so much for sharing this! I feel a bit relieved, in that case. So does this mean they did receive the report? Then why mark it as “waived” instead of “received”? I’m kinda confused… Thank you again
@teenybee no idea why it showed as waived but since they confirmed im not gonna give it much thought! don’t worry too much about it
@gabsPL Thank you!! Good luck and positive vibes to you
do ppl think we’ll start getting decisions tomorrow?
Doubt it… I’m thinking May first at earliest
So I submitted my midterm report a little while ago, and my portal says that everything is received. However, I submitted my report with one teacher missing. He hasn’t responded to any of my emails and over zoom, he keeps saying he’ll get to it, but never does. I even had to message the dean to try and get in contact with him.
Decisions are supposed to be rolling after May 1st, so it’s cutting it very close. But do you guys think that it’ll be a negative factor against me even though I have all the others updated with straight A’s? Its a one-credit gym class, but I don’t want to seem like I’m omitting information. Also, I still can’t get in contact with Barnard, but I did email them explaining. What do you guys think, should I be worried?
I don’t think that will be an issue at all… they have to be flexible because of the situation and considering it’s a one credit gym class I don’t think that will damage your application at all
did anyone here apply for FA?
@daynamarie101 yeah I hope not, everything else was uploaded and luckily, he finally got back to me, so I just uploaded his report separately yesterday, just in case!
@colb1234567 yeah, I did!
Quick question: I submitted my mid-term report as a junior transfer. The report is half-filled by professors and half-filled by myself. I indicated on the form which courses were filled by myself. Do you think this is going to serve as a disadvantage to me in the applications process?
I’m pretty sure they released a statement saying that this allowed… I’m not 100% positive it was Barnard though bc I keep mixing them all up. Anyone else remember this?
Hi! I am a spring 2020 transfer and happy to answer questions about the transfer process and about my (2 months) Barnard campus experience thus far.
@carbocationPositive Do you have any extra insight on what the need-aware admissions means? Or since as a spring transfer did it not matter for you as you cannot get aid that first semester?
@carbocationPositive Hello! it might be too much to get into it now, but how was it transferring? Anything you wish you knew b4 choosing Barnard? are you happy with you choice? Was it difficult to adjust as a transfer? Was there anything you wish Barnard did better?
@carbocationPositive would you mind posting your stats?
@brightplaces Wait, Barnard is need-aware?
for transfer students yes @teenybee
Does anyone else check their portal everyday in hope to see an update even though the website says rolling notification after May 1st or is that just me?
I do that too!! It’s like my morning routine I just check all of my portals in hopes something will show up.
