2026 class has 700 seats out of which 62% filled by ED. That leaves only 266 seats for RD. Not sure how many were accepted for these 266 seats, with their 50% RD yield.

Has anyone heard about anyone who got off the waitlist yet?
anyone get off yet? this time last year they had already admitted some people.
No but I am getting extremely anxious. May 1 is 10 days away and I want to hear back from Barnard.
me tooooooo. im a little worried cus they admitted a very large % of their class through ED so they probably will need a lot less RD and waitlist if you consider their yield rate

We called Barnard admissions and asked them if the waitlist was needs aware, and they told us that it was definitely needs blind.
Call again and speak to a different staffer.
Their own website says they are need aware for students admitted off the waitlist.

So i went to barnard today to get a tour and asked when we should be hearing back from waitlists. they said that it all depends on when RD people accept/decline their offer so it could happen anytime from now. i reallllyy hope to get off……wishing all of u luck!

After reading that here, we called the Admissions Office to ask whether this was true and were told that the waitlist process is definitely needs blind.
Wow! Why would the person have told us that when it is right there on their website? Thanks for pointing that out.

ahadjkfbskjbf i was just looking at the barnard 2026 instagram (at the followers) and it seems like a lot of ppl have committed already, and the number is scaringly close to 700 meaning they might not need waitlist. ehehbrjhabhejbrkhsbrehabrkb

Honestly idk how indicative Instagram is for this stuff. Best to just hope for the best and wait.
yeah agreed,instagram followers could really mean anything at this point,im curious on how u found out that 700 people have committed from just looking at insta 
. i think that from last waitlist decisions might roll out tomorrow or friday as that’s when they came out around last year. we shall see, hoping for the best!

Looks like there are several Barnard 2026 Instagram accounts?
There’s an Instagram page that is run by students and followed by Barnard’s admission. Most of the followers have committed to Barnard when u click on their Instagram page.
I was told the opposite from Barnard admissions. Definitely need aware. May want to clarify.
