I checked out the campus recently. When I was walking through Honors Hall, the student who was showing me around mentioned that there was a fitness center upstairs, but that is was mostly treadmills.

Do any current students have any opinions on it or do most people use the main ASU gym? If so, how’s the SRC?

EDIT: I forgot to mention, how many Jersey Shore knockoffs are at the main gym? I picture there being hour long lines to the bench press while everything else collects dust.

I’ve never used it, but I know my roommate does. I assume she likes it since she uses it. I believe lots of Barrett people use it. The SRC, just from what I’ve seen walking past, seems to have a lot of bulked up guys. But obviously there are others who use it.

The SRC is a huge gym. There is the main gym, an outdoors lifting gym, and several smaller machine gyms. There are several pools, 8 or so rowing machines, maybe a couple dozen treadmills, and a butload of bikes and other aerobic equipment. There are also racquetball and squash courts, and a number of aerobics and training rooms available. Basketball, tennis, etc as well. I thought the SRC was plenty for my needs with a diverse group of people that work out.

How far is it from the Barrett dorms and campuses to the SRC gym?

A minute walk maybe.
