Barron's ACT 18th Edition, hard tests?

I was just beginning the 18th edition of the Barron’s ACT book and to begin we have to take a diagnostics test. Now normally I would score around the mid/high 20’s, but after taking this test I totally bombed every section except Math. I was just wondering if anyone who has this book would agree with me that the tests are harder and giving you lower scores than usual? I hope I am not the only one doing this or I have a lot of progress to make :P.

Thanks!

Yes, I quitted the test after English. It just felt so alien.

I quit after the English section too, I got a 33 on the actual ACT English in September but only a 24 on Barrons’s… I went back and finished a few more sections and it’s definitely harder than the actual ACT IMO.

Oh thank god! Hahha I was getting such good scores and this TOTALLY stressed me out xD. It is honestly really good to hear that everyone else is experiencing this problem as well!!

Barron’s is so much more difficult than the actual test. Don’t worry!
