Barron's ACT prep book...

okay is it me or is Barron's book actually really hard ... or is the actual ACT that hard. I mean before i bought the book I took those practice ACT questions from the ACT site and I was getting them all right. Now especially in the math section, I can barely get one right ... any opinions?

Barron's practice tests are relly hardd....they are actually harder than the real 1. So don't sweat it. :)

yeah.. on barron's english section, i missed 20.. which is like a 24 or 25 i think (somewhere around there)... on the actual ACT, i've gotten 35s and 36s consistently on english.. so yeah, barron's is freakishly hard... not as hard as peterson's though (peterson's SUCKS!)... barrons is almost too hard, but its hardness helps (it helped me at least a little)

What about Kaplan? Anyone here tried tests from Kaplan?

I heard they were harder than the real 1 but not as hard as Barron's

yeah, kaplan's tests are a little harder than the real thing... but not as hard as barron's

kaplan is really good for reading.. it helped me increase my reading score considerably

Oh thank god, I got like so many wrong when I took the Barron’s practice tests but when I do other books I only get a few wrong. I was scared for a second there =p

I have taken the ACT twice before the 11th grade, and I have gotten a 33+ on both. I have taken numerous practice tests since then with various types of ACT prep books and have never scored below a 34. I bought the Barron’s book, took all three practice tests. My highest score: 27. Enough said.

I have been taking too many practice tests but I don’t know which book to use. I have taken the Real ACT’s practice tests but I don’t know whether to take the Barron’s or McGraw Hills. Could someone who has taken the test tell me which book is most like the act and some tips?
