Barrons Is Insane!!!

That's what I'm going to do tomorrow...find that CB book...and do that practice test

haha i bought the sparknotes math2c book earlier today but only for the practice tests.. so i've been doing it on separate paper and maybe i can return the book after i'm done!??!! heh heh.

hmm.. so sparknotes and princeton review are supposed to be pretty accurate? ah that doesn't make sense though.. that i would increase my score by 80 points in just a few hours??

That's what I hear...and they seem similar...at least for me. I'm doing the Math 1. Maybe it's different for Math 2.

You probably can return the books as long as it's in good shape.

Anyone knows the raw score conversion rate?

It's 12 dollars from amazon.

for those of you who've said that studying from barron's guarantees you a score of X, it doesn't. you're never guaranteed anything. you definitley have to earn it. anyone can study for a test, but NOT everyone can get an 800

of course there are limitations, not EVERYONE will get a 800.
But it is good practice,
i used it and got a 790.
i thought it was very good, but hard to prepare for the test.

Um, yeah, I want to second the fact that Barron's is insane. The first 7 practice tests I got ~30 and then the last one I got a 39. Weird.

But then, I just took a Sparknotes one, breezed right through it with time to spare, and got an 800. AND I did it with nothing stored on my calculator. =D

And no matter how many times you tell yourself you won't get frustrated with Barron's, you will. It never fails to frustrate you. =)

ye i'm skippin school friday too. Gonna finish up the barrons tomorrow around the afternoon, then maybe go to BN's to do some PR ones to boost my confidence.

ahahahhaha. That sounds just like me. I am pretty cheap too. I went barnes and nobles just to read real sats. When I took my first sat 2, I skipped school just to do barron's tests. I'm not sure if "overprepping with barrons" actually helps, but everyone seems to do it. Even though it doesn't simulate teh test too well, keep at it with the barrons. The concepts on barrons are essentially the same just much more indepth. It is a great confidence booster when you see the real thing.

i recommend using Barron's. It really helps ease anxiety during the actual exam. Try to get 710-720 on the Barron's tests, then you are set for a 800. At least that was my case :) GOOD LUCK!!

what would the raw score be for 710-720 on barrons?

I'm getting somewhere around 30-37. :(
hoping for a 750+ on the real one. Is it possible?

evilasiandictator: ur scaled score is 730
