OK I am taking the Math Level 2 test this Saturday and I decided to take a Barrons practice test to see where I'm at. OK, it took me 1.5 hours to finish the damn model test and I still ended up with a raw score of 36(7 wrong and 5 skipped). BTW, does anyone know what that translates to on the 800 scale??? Man, how is any human suppsoed to complete 50 math problems of that kind of difficulty in 60 minutes? If Barrons exams are anyhow representative of the real test, then I am royally screwed.:(

I agree. I'm taking the Math 1 on Saturday and have the Barron's book. I got a 640 on the diagnostic test and a 580 on the first model test. When I took the PR test, I got a 660 and when I took the Peterson's I got a 730.

LOL don't use barrons; use Sparknotes (only available through barns&nobles). Their tests are the closest to the real tests than anything else. Besides, I heard that if you can solve all problems on Barrons, 750+ score was guarenteed. I don't know for sure though.

OMG lol i did the same thing as you.. i spent all my time going through the ENTIRE barron's book but when i did the practice tests i still didn't do so well =( because it was just SO HARD!!1 and uh i just skipped school today to take study a bunch.. i just did princeton review books which are much more do-able.. but i still need a lot more practice =( i just ran out of princeton review practice tests though since they only have 2.. does anyone have any other recommendations? i'll probably try sparknotes and is sthere anything else? i need as many practice tests as i can get lol. my highest score on princeton review is just 710-720 and i'm aiming for an 800 =( is that even POSSIBLE?!?!?! i'm taking it this sat =(

Barrons will overprep you for the 1c, as well as, the 2c. I realized something about the barrons 2c book. It contains appx. 80% trig, and they are really hard too.

i just spent my day taking several practice tests from different books..
first i took an old collegeboard sat2 test and got 700,
then i scored between 700-720 on a few princeton review tests,
then 630 on a barron's test,
then 790 on a test from sparknotes.

although i've probably improved a bit after each test since i've gone over all the questions that i answered incorrectly.. these scores are still varying quite a bit. does anyone have an approximate idea what i would get on the real sat math2c? i wish i could take another old collegeboard test but i only had one.. =(

also, does anyone know how accurate the sparknotes tests are?

LOL aznsushi. Yea I know. Maybe its best to spend an hour in BN or any bookstore and try to take the practice test. I wouldn't want to buy a whole book that costs amost $20 just for ONE practice test.
