I just did the exercises for trigonometric graphs and got 4 out of 7 wrong. ***.

I am really stumped. The examples show you one thing then the actual answer explanations just tell you to graph this and graph that to get your answer.

Why didn't they include these graphing tutorials?

Is the real SAT going to be this difficult?

Not every problem you see is going to be like the one in the example. Most of the trig problems on math II are pretty straightforward, but may require some knowledge of the graphs of trig functions.

Additionally, problems often have more than one solution, so theirs isn’t necessarily the most “correct” way or the fastest way (usually it is, but I’ve seen counterexamples).

It is a bit harder than the real test particularly the last test. It will get you a little bit overprepared which is good. If you can get 700+, you should be able to get 800, or at least not too far away.

It’s actually not that much harder… Then again, it depends when you take the actual SAT.
I got perfects on Barron’s (0 mistakes), it was pretty easy for me. But on the actual test, I still got an 800, but there were a couple I was unsure about and probably missed.

Well, people DO SAY that Barron’s “over-prepares” you. IMO, I think it’s a pretty decent book. Don’t let the exercise pull you down, mate. Learn from your mistakes and never make the same mistakes again. It’s that simple! Just be patient.

And no, it’s not that hard, BUT it depends on the test you are taking like Undefined123 said

I’m going to be straight forward with you, Barron’s is hard. Really hard. The actual test, is hard too.

However, if you sit down and go through the entire book’s explanations, do the practice tests, and actually check why you got questions wrong, you’ll be ok.

I got like a 340 or something on my first Barron’s test because I didn’t take it seriously at first. Then I realized that I wasn’t as good at math as I thought and that I was going to have to really work to prepare for this. I worked at it and my scored went up each time. I took my actual test the other week and I am expecting at least close to an 800.

With all this said, I will admit that the actual test seemed very easy AFTER doing the Barron’s book. Without the book however it probably would have seemed pretty difficult. Have some commitment and you’ll be fine.
