I got the book, but apparently everyone is telling me it is useless and there is too much information. I got to a SAT place, so I asked which parts of this book do I not need to know and they said to throw that book out and get a Princeton review/kaplan book. So I am asking you guys and gals here, what sections do I NOT need to study? Thanks for your help!

I got the same book....

Many of the sections contain stuff you don't need to learn. However, the book doesn't test you on useless information in the practice tests.

This book is awesome. You should throw out the PR/Kaplan books and keep this one. Probably (at least) one of Barron's best, since they tend to put out a lot of bad books.

What are you aiming for?

If it's an 800 or thereabouts, use the book. If it's only about 600+, then stick to PR and the rest.

yeah... its the best one

I used both Barron's and Kaplan and got an 800... I hadn't even studies pre-calc yet, so it's not that hard. If you study, the books will tell you all you need to know.

barron's goes way too indepth.. but i agree. it is the best for IIC. just learn everything (hey, overpreparing is better than underpreparing, right?)

the extremely detailed trig functions you probably won't need, but you will need limits. but not derivatives. And probably not the rational roots thing. (p/q?)

but hten again, i'm taking it may 5, so i'm in the same boat as you, arent i?

Work with both Barrons and an easier book like Kaplan/PR/Sparknotes. Barrons will really get you to nail the math/overprepare quite a bit, and then the easier book will be more in tune with the reality of the test.

Thnx and yea, I am aiming for an 800!!

I am about to start studying for the bio sat II, i know, a little too late, but should i get the barrons or pr or what, because of the timing and all, i want a good score like 750+ but barrons wouldnt help huh? i think i might get princton review because i heard the info was easy to grasp and you can do it quickly. Please tell me if i am wrong, im getting the book soon

How is the mcgraw hill book?

Aiming for an 800 then just get the Barrons book because that's what you will probably get if you know everything in there.
