I got a 560 on the first sat I took for math...I know bad which is weird cuz I'm not bad at math in school anyways, which prep book should I purchase that will significantly help me raise my score the second tome for math? Barrons or McGraw hill and which books by the companys?

I personally used the Baron’s review book which helped me boost my score by 50 points.

Hey,
I started off with my psat score being 65 (so 650 converted) and I am using math barrons wb and I am finding it helpful :-)

So which barrons book for math do you guys suggest getting

Barron’s math problems tend to be harder than the actual SAT ones, so Barron’s workbook thoroughly prepares you for the SAT 1 math portion. McGrawHill’s texts usually rehash basic information, and their practice problems are elementary; therefore, they quickly cause a plateau effect, where your SAT scores won’t further improve. GL and salam.

Alright so I guess I’ll get a barrons math prep book then? Which one? And nice to see a fellow Muslim around^

You should start with Kaplan’s total SAT prep, and finish it, including the practice tests, in a week’s time maximum. Then move on to practice in Barron’s Math workbook, and finish it and its outlying practice tests in two weeks maximum. Then take one practice test from College Board’s Blue Book every day, and on the consecutive day, review your answers in great detail–check online for detailed answer solutions. If you follow this guideline, and stay committed to your goal, your SAT score should greatly increase. If you have remaining time, you should get Barron’s thin grammar workbook for SAT/ACT/High School Graduation Tests, and spend daily at least an hour to review and practice your grammar. Also, daily write one practice SAT essay in 30 minutes, and lessen your time to 22 minutes over days as you get more proficient at composing literary constructions.

Thank you so much bro, I’m deadicTed enough to follow through with this plan, and I’ll make sure I complete every thing

To guarantee a high score on the SAT essay, get “Thank You For Arguing” from your local B&N’s. This book has hundreds of strategies to impress your reader, and its rhetorical devices’ benefits will propagate throughout your life.

Oooo…and also I’ve seen some reviews of the barrons math workbook, but a lot of em say that the book has a lot of mistakes, is this true or what? I mean does barrons have more updated versions or something of the sat math workbook?

I am on the last math chapter of Barron’s Math Workbook, and I have only encountered one error in the practice test that was corrected in the answer’s section.

Furthermore, I looked at the Amazon reviewers’ supposed Barron’s errors, and I found none. The reviewers need to review their own math skill before criticizing others’. Also, it seems that the reviewers are reviewing older versions of the book.

Alright man thank you so much
