Hi everyone! I'm just wondering what would be the best book for the physics subject test. I used Barron's for M2, but I'm not sure which would be more helpful for physics. I'm taking the test in two days so I want to make sure I study effectively. Any insight would be invaluable! Thanks!

The best books for the physics subject test:
College Physics, Vol. 2 (Fifth Edition) [Paperback] Wilson Buffa

Best regards

Thank you Assignment Expert! I apologize for my tardiness. Those links and suggestions were extremely informative and helpful.

From my experience PR is better overall than Barron’s. It goes over all the important topics and the explanations are pretty good, the tests are also fairly accurate. Barron’s is more in depth and covers some random things that never actually come up so I’d stay away from it. That said, when I took the actual test there were a few topics that PR didn’t cover (polarization, scattering, etc.) so you might want to find some additional resources if you’re aiming for a high score.

Thanks PapaScones! I ended up using Barron’s and some of the books assignment expert suggested for 4 days and got a 740. Would you recommend retaking with PR then? Or would 740 suffice for most schools? I hoping to major in physics but having some trouble transferring knowledge to the test :)
