Barron's PSAT prep

since there's so specific place to post about the psat (i think), i'll post it here.

is this barron's prep book good or bad? i have it, but i just wanna make sure.

thanks

i bought kaplans'. it seems good.

Kaplan is always bad.

I also bought kaplan's. It seems good so far. I just started reviewing/studying for the psat so I'm not very far into it. I'm planning to do one book each week up to the test day.

i had both barrons and kaplan. both were good. petersons was bad. i think those are the three psat books i used.

andreaaaa, u know the word lists in barron's book, are they any good?

I'm just using SAT books. Two birds, one stone.

oh, i dont do word lists. esp not for the psat.

JBVirtuoso has the right idea here. If you're going to use the books, stick to the SAT ones. The two tests are similar enough that using PSAT specific titles is a waste of time and money.

The Princeton review makes a good one.

I went to a PSAT course, and we used an SAT book, but only for the problems, not strategies. I think, especially for the math, it's good to have a PSAT only book just so you know what to focus on.

OP asked for barrons, and everyone talked about kaplan.

I always love when threads go off topic!
