I started reading the Math section on the Barron's SAT book today and noticed that some of the questions we're different to those that I actually see in practice tests. I have 1 month until the SAT and I'm cramming. Is it worth it to read the whole section or totally unnecessary?

Different…how so?

I see some questions that I don’t think CB would actually ask. I might be wrong though.

Based on experience, Barron’s is not the most reliable when it comes to the SAT. I used it, and you are right, it is a little different that how the real SAT is made. I find the book a little easier than the actual SAT, or other books like the Blue Book or Gruber’s. I would definitely recommend those two mentioned titles. As quoted by @aussietechie “The SAT Blue Book is a godsend, provided that you use it effectively.”

When it comes to Critical Reading, Gruber’s is the most helpful and accurate out of all. It gives you complete and effective strategies to tackle the Reading Comprehension Questions. For Sentence Completion, I recommend the popular Direct Hits Volume 1 and 2. Those two books helped me raise my SAT Critical Reading score by about 150 points.

Good luck fellow SAT student! :D
