Barrons

Good evening, everyone.

I know that Barrons is harder than the actual ACT exam, but does anyone think Barrons likes to ask questions that are wayyyyyyyy trickier, much detail-oriented, very nitpicky about particularly USELESS stupid details that pertain to pure science subject knowledge? Everytime I get soemthing wrong, I look it up in the back and read the explanation, and I get so, so, so frustrated!!!! I'm always like, ARE YOU SERIOUS?!
Someone on CC said Barrons questions are completely unrelated to the ACT or are never going to show up on the actual exam. Is it true?

I thought studying with harder guides can only better prepare me for the exam, but I tend to over-think, so I'm growing concerned whether I should continue studying religiously with Barrons. Overpreparing is not bad in my opinion, but I don't want to all that useless stuff distracting me and making me over think during the actual test.

Opinions!!

While Barron's is freakishly hard, I do think it's worthwhile. It makes the real test seem so much easier after doing the ridiculous questions in Barron's. It helped my score jump from a 31 to a 34 just because it made the real test seem easier and made me go more with my gut instinct than thinking about it, and then a little added help from Kaplan on the next test boosted me up to a 35 composite. So I definitely think Barron's is worth all the frustration by the time you take the real test -- at least from my experience.
