Hey guys. I'm really interested in going into business. I have been accepted to both of these schools and i am really torn between them. I dont know which one to pick. Fordham gave me 40k but Baruch came with honors (Not CUNY Honors). Can someone give me some advice? Which would give me a more promising future? I'm also into the "name" :[. Thanks in advance for the help.

Both are pretty much the same. They are both in Manhattan (although Fordham has a few places in the Bronx and elsewhere out of NY). Baruch has a small campus and Fordham well has a much larger one. Baruch honors, I believe, is free and you get a "free" Mac Book. As for the name, they are both overshadowed by NYU Stern. However, Baruch is highly ranked for business for their Masters Program. Fordham is ranked higher nationally overall than Baruch.

Baruch is known for business (it focuses on business after all). Fordham is known for Law mostly.

^ OP says its not cuny honors, so its not a full tuition and laptop. Thats why i dont understand how theres a Baruch with Honors, never heard of such thing.

I think the reason is perhaps CUNY Honors only accepts freshman but Baruch honors accepts new students anytime. I am not sure.

Each school has its own advantages and disadvantages. I did not apply to Baruch so I am not sure how the college experience is there. Fordham is great for me though. However, Fordham is Jesuit school while Baruch is a college funded by the government.

actually baruch honors gives all the free stuff cuny honors gives

bumpbumpbump

hows that possible? i never heard of anything like that, do you have to apply to the baruch honors program as you apply to the cuny honors?

it's one step below cuny honors, same courses, same programs, just a bit of difference, prestige wise.

Fordham over Baruch anytime. Baruch has no name recognition outside of Manhattan.

but i'm pretty much staying in manhattan or nyc for that matter

Don't be so narrow-minded and provincial.

Expand your horizons. Restricting yourself to one place is a bad idea because it will restrict your opportunities elsewhere. However, if you insist on staying in NY is best for you then do so.
