Basketball tickets

Can anyone describe the process for getting tickets to home basketball games? Can a new student expect to be able to attend all the home games? Cost?

Cost: free

How to get in: a couple of ways depending on what line monitors decide for that game

1). Wristband: you line up the night before to get a wristband then show up a few hours before the game to get in line and wait until they call your color

2). Walk-up line: you and a group of friends (up to a certain number) get in line and sign up with the line monitor. Then a certain number of the group (2 I think) has to be there at all times until the game. The rest of your group shows up before game time and the group is let in. There are line checks.

3). UNC game: you tent. White is the longest (officially 3 weeks this year but people have been known to start around Xmas). Blue starts a week before the game. Different rules apply.

There are no actual "tickets" all students are admitted up to capacity. You can expect to attend most games but certain ones might require more dedication (Gtown, UNC, etc).

SBR summed it up really well. Just want to add a few things. Wristband games are mostly weekday games and walkup games are mostly weekend games (up to 6 in a group; half present at all times).

Blue tenting starts around the beginning of spring semester and lasts a couple of weeks (this year 8 people at night and 1 during the day). White started a week before the game (2 at night, 1 during the day). Groups get there before spring semester started, but this year you only needed 2 at all times (from 9-5 I think it was this year). Also there is usually two tenting games. There will be two next year I'd imagine because UNC will be the last home game. This year was a deviation from previous years because we only had one tenting game.

Most of the time you don't have to wait out that long (even though the first couple rows of Cameron are beyond amazing).
