Duke Ticket Distribution

Hey...any current students care to evaluate my chances on the ticket distribution?

I'm a graduating student that is ~2400 back from the magic number. Anyone know on average how many student tickets are available for the Duke game?

I applied for UNC and I have a similar question...is it really hard to get tickets for basketball games? That was one of many appeals of UNC, but I have heard it is really hard to get tickets for any game and most students just end up watching them on TV. Is this true?

ophiolite- unfortunately i can't answer your question. all i can say is that i am not graduating, and i am 200 back, and i am still gonna try and snatch up some nosebleeds.

soccer- i am a freshman and i have gotten tickets to every game i tried for, except one grouping. it is not nearly as hard as people make it out to be. you will probably be in the nosebleeds unless you get lucky, but you will most likely be able to get tickets to most of the games (barring duke, which has a whole different distribution)

ok that's great to hear. on campusdirt.com, a lot of people were saying that it's really hard for the student body to get tickets. it's good to hear that a freshman who actually tries is able to get them.

upstater05:

Did you end up getting tickets?

I ended up in the upper tier (as I thought...) in row T...kinda sucks, but I've been waiting for nearly 11 years to see this game!

It is not hard to get basketball tickets for undergrads. the only time that seniors actually get priority in numbering is the duke game. Thats another great thing about living on south campus. you are close to the dean dome, and you are one of the first in line on saturday morning for ticket distributions!!

i did get tickets, although they are bad even by nosebleed standards. haha but i am so excited to be there for that game. go heels!

Soccergirl--If you want tickets, you can get them.

I'm a freshmen and I've gotten tickets for every game (including d00K).

(Join Fever.)

Or you can try your luck with the distribution, which, as stated before, is not nearly as bad as its made out to be.

Psyco T is a beast.

I know generally what Carolina Fever is but can you tell me more about it? How do you join? How often do you go to games? etc. Thanks : )

Fever will be taking sign ups in the Pit for the first few weeks of school when you get here. I believe its $10. You can go to as many games as you want. There's usually a few every weekend and some during the week. At first it will be women's volleyball and men's soccer. Every game you go to earns you points, if you're in the top tier for a distribution you get men's basketball tickets. I know tons of people who got lower level Duke tickets through this. It's a great system.

I should've joined it but did end up with upper level Duke tix through the regular distribution. As has been said, getting seats is not difficult (at least this year), getting good seats is. The Alumni take up most of the lower level. Go Heels!

Haven't heard from you since last year when you were still considering UNC. How has your first year been? Are you happy with your decision?
I hope that things are going well for you.
