BB Practice Scores Compared to Actual

Hey all,

So far, I've taken 6 BB SATs and my scores seemed to have plateaued.

Assuming these trends continue (I'll be taking 2 more from BB, and 11 from PR), how well do you think I will be able to do on the actual SAT? Also, are actual curves helpful or detrimental to your score (or right in the middle)?

I assume perfect scores for the essays so the writing may be overestimated.

Test 1
CR: 62; 690-790
M: 46; 640-700
W: 39; 660-790

Total: 1990-2280

Test 2
CR: 66; 770-800
M: 51; 700-780
W: 46; 740-800

Total: 2210-2380

Test 3
CR: 57; 640-720
M: 52; 720-800
W: 48; 780-800

Total: 2140-2320

Test 4
CR: 61; 670-770
M: 53; 750-800
W: 45; 730-800

Total: 2150-2370

Test 5
CR: 65; 740-800
M: 51; 700-780
W: 42; 690-800

Total: 2130-2380

Test 6
CR: 65; 740-800
M: 52; 720-800
W: 42; 690-800

Total: 2150-2400

The actual curves are useful.

Thanks a lot aluminum_boat, but how do you convert the two-digit writing MC scaled score to a one out of 800? Or do you simply multiply by 10?

Also, is there anything I can do to get out of this plateau?

If you get 49/49 writing, then you can get as low as a 9 essay and get 800
If you get a 12 essay, you can get as low as 46-47/49 writing and get 800

Just keep on analyzing your mistakes. It’S tougher to improve when you get up that high

I’d say around a 2250 is likely for you. On my practice tests I was scoring around 2050-2350 and managed to get a 2220

Another point: averaging the score ranges gives you a much accurate estimate of your scores. For example, you would never get an 800 in writing with a 42/49 MC score, even if you got a 12 on the essay.
