hi, i wrote test #5 in the CB BB and I have the score range for each section. How can I get a better estimate of what my score is? the range is pretty huge when you add up all the lower and upper estimates.

So, in math I missed 1, missed 1 grid in, and omitted one (so -3):
700-780
that was the range given. I found the math section a little bit harder than usual (i usually get only 1-2 wrong), but i struggled on this one

CR (-10)....57/67 MC:
score range 640-720
I did well on the last 2 sections (made 3 errors all together on those 2 section, but the first section i did poorly on).

W (-5)...44/49:
Scaled range: 69-79
I'm I would say that my essay would be at least a 10. I thought it was well written.
With a 10 essay:
690-800

So, how could I find out a more accurate score range?
Like my overall range is 2030-2300. Huge range and I wouldn't know where I truly stand from such a huge range.

So, could anyone help me out, or just let me know what my scores in each section would most likely be (ie. -3 in M would most likely be what score?)

Thank you

what ive been told in the past is your real score is like 20 below the top of the range. like your math range was 700-780 on average it would be 760 get it?

yea, but 760 in M with -3 seems wayyy to high. Something like a 710-730 seems more accurate. That is why I am getting confused. Also, some CR are harder than others, and on some you can get up to 3 wrong and still get 800, while on others the curve is harsher.

I can’t really remember anymore, but I think the BB 2nd edition gives an exact score for each section instead of a broad estimate. (Can someone else confirm this?) Maybe you can borrow a copy of the new edition from someone and copy the score conversions charts? Or you can just take the median or something.

My book says Official SAT Study Guide Second Edition.

the first 3 tests have actual scores. The rest have ranges.

Oh. In that case… :(. Lol, just pick a score that makes you happy.

lmao, well the 2300 would make me feel pretty happy…but then again, the 2030 would make me cry lol.

But, anyone who knows the SAT in and out want to venture an estimate score for each section based on the number of errors I made? Consider a 10 essay please.

just take the average of the range

I’d say 730 for math, 650 for Reading, and 750 for writing.

Thats just based off of past SAT curves. Good job do you have any tips for Math?

-3 in M on the January was a 710. Please don’t complain.

^i wasn’t complaining…i figured 710 seemed right, but too low, since this math was a little tougher than usual…so i thougth 730 was appropriate.

@somead896…750 seems far too high, idk, maybe i’m wrong.

Math, for me, was going slower and reading problems carefully. Like, i usually mak 1-2 errors, wanna get to 0 errors though, but slowly working through sections helped me

That’s very good score if you ask me! Good job! Muy Bien!

yea, but i need much higher since i am an international aiming for top schools. I need 2300. I only have low-mid 2100s right now, which is pretty sad since i only have 20-something days before my SAT.
