BC (Honors) vs. NYU

I was admitted to Boston College CAS honors program and NYU CAS. I have chosen to attend BC honors but a lot of my friends feel that NYU is better academically. I know I can't change my mind now, but I was wondering what you all thought about the two. Would you give an edge to BC honors or NYU for pre-med? Thanks a lot!

Did you get any money from BC? IMO, NYU is regarded better, has a better Med School for after, and is in a better city. I'm going to NYU, one of my best friends is going to BC, we'll have to see.

Actually, NYU gave me a little more $$ but nothing significant. I just live about 20 minutes from NYU and didn't want to be that close to home, plus I wanted more of a traditional college feel. I also got a guaranteed transfer to Cornell so it would most likely be for a year anyways (though I'm not going in with that mindset necessarily). I know that they have similar selectivity, similar rankings, similar average SAT scores, but I'm trying to compare academics and med-school placement...I know NYU has a pretty good med school and BC doesn't have a med school...but in terms of preparation for med school / MCATS, how are the two (or just NYU since this is an NYU forum)? I know that there is no turning back now but I'm just curious.

With all things considered though, I may have chosen NYU over BC simply for its better reputation if I didn't get guarantee transfer to Cornell (since you have to maintain a certain GPA to have that guaranteed transfer option) or honors at BC.

Thanks
