there is about a week or a little over a week left and i have absolutely no idea of where to go, i've visited both and like both campus' equally, however i would prefer the tennessee climate and sec > acc sports(from a fan perspective not a player) in alot of areas although not basketball but boston overall as a city and the sports is probably better than nashville, but i still am so undecided, after visiting vanderbilt this weekend it made the choice even more difficult because it made me lean a little more towards vanderbilt

i got alot of money from bc and not as much from vanderbilt, so idk
with bc i got about 30 or 35 thousand a year(the financial aid from them was kind of complicated)

vanderbilt i got about $17000 a year
-my parents can probably afford both , although not comfortabley i mean we are not rich but i mean with daily living expenses, etc. it would be hard, but they would obviously prefer the cheapest and they tell me i should go to whichever school i choose but they also keep telling me to think about having the money when i get out of college to do things such as buy a car and also more money left for grad/proffessional school but i dont know and i have brothers going to college/grad school soon so they would like to help out there but idk

i am an a&s undecided major for both
i have no ****ing idea

Nashville is a great city with lots to do. It depends what you like. The music scene is great, the weather is great and Vanderbilt is great. There is a strong frat scene and there is still a "southern" feel. Boston is a vibrant city with lots of universities. Vanderbilt is stronger academically, in my opinion.

Vanderbilt has been one of the prime beneficiaries of the demographic swell in top high school students. Their student profile is markedly stronger than even 5 years ago and there is some separation with BC. Here is how they compare on standardized test scores:

SAT 25/75
1300-1480 Vanderbilt
1240-1420 Boston College

Both schools can provide a great undergraduate experience, but Vandy will probably deliver a little bit higher touch environment, eg, the student/faculty difference is 9/1 at Vandy and 13/1 at BC. Even more telling is that 67% of Vanderbilt's classes have 20 or fewer students. This is the case for only 39% of the classes at BC.

I saw elsewhere that you were waitlisted at Duke. There is a lot of similarity in the student bodies of Duke and Vanderbilt and the vibe that exists on their campuses as it relates to the combinations of academics/social life/athletic life. BC has some of this, but to a lesser degree. If you really preferred the scene at Duke to BC, then I think you would probably also like Vandy better than BC. As MOWC says above, the school and the city has a lot to offer and makes for an excellent undergraduate experience.
