so what sat score range do u think is fitting for BC? im thinking 1950-2200 with 1950 being on the very low side (but ec/grades/etc able to make up for it) and 2200 being pretty safe. but who knows? BC is so random sometimes

25th and 75th percentiles being more like 1850 and 2100, going off collegeboard's old numbers

Does anyone know if BC will be looking at the new SAT writing scores?

bump........

After visiting BC today they told us that they will be looking very little at the Writing section. This doesn't mean it won't count but it will count for less than the Math and Critical Reading.

That's definitely a good thing (for a lot of us). Does anyone know the acceptance rate for the class of 2009?

man that really sucks. I got a 2130 on the SAT my first time (retaking nov.),...but a lot of it came from my 800 on the writing. (690 V 640 M)

I don't think I've seen anyone who's gotten an 800 on the new writing section other than myself and one person I know.

anyone know of any schools who do consider the writing on the same level?

Well, Harvard for one.

lol, I think I'd need a little bit better CR and Verbal for Harvard.

Not to mention the luck of the Irish.

i think id need an SAT score higher than 2400 to get into harvard :D

The SAT middle 50th percentile on the old test was 1240-1410, so any scores in the mid-1300s shouldn't hurt you in any way. I'm just personally hoping that my top-5% (for BC) SAT scores will make up for my horrible, horrible grades. We'll see how the SAT II's go.
